This year we were given some more fence posts and a couple of old gates from the farm, as well as more Chestnut and some Sycamore. Coupled with the wood we had left over from last year, which we had to cut and split, we had plenty to see us through all of the 2021 firings.

The beech that we had been given in 2020 had been stored for over twenty years, and was very woodwormed, which reduced its calorific value, but it needed to be burned!

For the 2022 and 2023 firings, we had deliveries from the sawmill of English Oak and Opepe in the autumn, and some trailerloads of Beech and Ash after the November tornado.
