The shape and style is based on patellae from the early Imperial Roman period.
The carinated body is made from florets of a single pattern in opaque red and white in a pale purple matrix, and has a white and purple T+H monogram.
The applied footring is white and pale purple.
Both the inner and outer surfaces have been rotary polished and show fine concentric polishing marks.
